About us

The website was launched in the summer of 2006. It was then that the ideas about the need to go online came up. We wanted to have a resource that would cover not only the purely football issues (for this purpose, there is official website of FC Vorskla), but also different issues associated football. The possibilities for implementing our plans were long sought for: it turned out to be not so easy and fast as we wanted.

In the spring of 2008, Ostapforum was created; it became the prototype of the first website of Vorskla’s fans and operated for about a year. At first it was planned as a temporary one. The purpose of this resource was to provide platform for communication, ideas and thoughts exchange. It was through the forum that people joined us, and today they are not only active fans, but also help to develop the current website.

In early spring 2009, a full-fledged website wglife.com.ua replaced the forum. In the three years we performed the first update: improved its structure, updated design and improved usability. And the third version of Vorskla fans website, which you can see now, was designed for the 10th WGLife anniversary, which was on April 11, 2018! The website has become more modern and got cool adaptive design for use on mobile phones.

The new website will continue to provide the most up-to-date information on events at the stands, news from the club’s and fans’ life. In addition, the website will continue to be the Vorskla’s ideological mouthpiece and the keeper of the historical traditions of our club. Particular attention will be paid to the culture of rooting and behavior at the stadium. The website will be interesting both to the active part of the Vorskla fans watching games from the fan sector and going with their team to away matches, as well as those who are only learning to support their favorite club and take the first steps in this direction.

We want to note that this is not a website for a certain mob or company, it is a general fans resource for all those who are not indifferent to Vorskla, for anyone who has white-green blood in their veins. The main task of this project is to promote the IDEA as such: ideas for club support in the stadiums, respect for the opponents, principles of fair play in the street, fashion, certain literature and musical preferences, and much more.

The website reflects the personal opinion of its authors on a particular issue. The materials cover the true state of affairs and do not serve as propaganda of violence, racism and similar ambiguous issues. We do not call for the above; however, we do not deny that such things do exist.
